The box has a small amount of wear and tear.
Colour - Chesnut brown.
Tasting notes, undiluted: Nose: Rich fruits - dates, figs, sultanas. Nutty, walnuts with a hint of wood oil. Palate: Initially fruit then smoke and peat begin leading onto rich sweet, cream sherry flavours.
With water: Nose: Smoke with a touch of hessian, sweet phenolic element with the fruitiness subdued. Palate: Smoke and sherry notes with the rich fruit character back to the forefront.
Body: Rich and complex. Palate: Sherry with some smokiness. Cask type: First fill Sherry butts. Style: Complex Highland Malt with rich, smoky character and pronounced Sherry influence.
