Very nice. Harsher and slighter almond in flavour compared to other Grappa. I drank neat, and must agree with the other reviewers, probably best with a single ice cube. Did not disappoint, well worth a try.

This is a superb bottle, and I highly recommend it. As I understand it, it is not a grappa, it is an aquavitae. It is a sharp, almost harsh drink compared to grappa, distilled from grape 'must' and not the pomace, and therefore has a pure, sharp taste compared to true grappas, which are more complex. I'll be hung for this by the Italians, but I like to drink it with a small piece of ice, as it really does take your breathe away when drunk neat!

I've had grappa before. I've tried plenty of different brandies. But I've never tasted anything remotely like this. The flavour is extremely strong, extremely distinctive and extremely hard to describe. The floral undertones, which are best tasted when the drink is diluted somewhat, are light and fresh. Unfortunately they are almost entirely masked by the primary flavour, which completely dominates the mix. Love it or hate it, it's in a class of its own.
