After adding sugar to this infusion Briottet obtain a strong sweet liqueur.

Very sweet -- the first mouthful will taste purely of sugar, with the chocolate flavour not being noticeable until one has become accustomed to the sweetness. This is good if making desserts, bad if making cocktails and interesting if drinking it neat. Once the chocolate flavour emerges it is extremely smooth and luxurious. Alcohol-wise, it is surprisingly strong compared to most other brands. This is certainly a step or two above your typical Cr
