CASA LAPOSTOLLE - Cabernet Sauvignon 2006Chilean Red Wine
Vinification: Must was fermented 10 days between 28-30C, followed by 12-15 days post fermentation maceration. 80% of the wine was aged for 12 months in 2-3 year old French oak barrels and 20% for 13 months in new and one year old barrels. Bottled in October 2004.
Tasting Notes: Intense red ruby colour. The nose is elegant and clean, showing complex aromas of spice (black and white pepper, nutmeg), red fruit and berries well integrated with hints of oak and finished with notes of caramel and vanilla. On the palate the wine shows very attractive tannins, good concentration of fruit and solid structure, with a long and lasting finish.
