With tantalising complexity, almost cryptic, this is the oldest natural cask strength release from the original Dufftown distillery.

Its rich complexity is the makers 'signature' and it was matured in closely matched refill American Oak casks, filled in 1971.

There are approximately 2,160 numbered bottles worldwide and it is presented in a special hand-finished bottle. The complexity of Mortlach disguises many tastes.

These range from spice notes and vanilla, a light malty sweetness, then smoky dryness. It has a long, dry, finish with a hint of hard liquorice and pepper, but with a fruity aftertaste.
