World Gin Day 2016!

French colonial recipe of eight natural botanicals rediscovered by France's leading micro-distiller Gabriel Boudier of Dijon.

Gabriel Boudier is a leading micro-distiller in Dijon France with a reputation for fine spirits since 1874.

Saffron Gin is a unique recipe discovered in the archives of France's colonial past when England and France both claimed India as their jewel and gin rich in exotic botanicals was the fashion.

This handcrafted, small batch pot distilled gin is made from the finest natural botanicals, in addition to the Saffron which gives a delicately spicy character, the recipe has Juniper, Coriander, Lemon, Orange Peel, Angelica Seeds, Iris and fennel, creating one of the most complex and memorable gins distilled today.

Enjoy Saffron Gin on the rocks or with Tonic.

If you enjoy saffron then you will definitely like the unique taste of this rare gin. I consider myself a true gin connoisseur and can boldly say that I have never come across a gin with such a spicy and elegant taste on the palate. Can be enjoyed straight or with lime and tonic water, anyway is a real pleasure and break from the regular botanical's that so many gins share. A real thumbs up, will definitely be making more orders.

Wow! Just tried this after seeing it on Sunday Brunch. Sorry to say I love it (it's a bit pricier than my usuals) - makes a very nice, tangy G&T.

I bought this on the strength of the other reviews here, it sounds good and interesting but really I found the saffron flavour far too much, really overpowering any other taste in the drink. It\'s not horrible, but it tastes more like pilau rice than a G&T.

I introduced my 'Knitters and Natterers' to this delectable gin, using my recipe of 1 portion of room temperature Saffron gin to 2 portions of refrigerated tonic, and the result was delighted faces and exclamations all round. I have had to place an order for them all as it just isn't available in this neck of the woods. Many thanks Drinks Shop - when do I start to get discount on volume orders?

Do not let the fact that this is the same colour as "Irn Bru" put you off. This is simply the most delicious gin I have ever tasted. Prepare your gin and tonic in the usual way and you'll be amazed.
