Bright ruby. Intense aromas of violet and red-berry mixed with a touch of pepper. Concentrated, generous and well structured. Very refreshing, aromatic and spicy. Well shaped tannins. Good persistence.
To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheeses.
Soil: Limestone with clay.
Site: Selected plots of vineyards in ote de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.
The 2006 Vintage: The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September.
The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful wines with very pure aromas.
