LANDLORD pours a light brownish, leaning towards amber colour which is crystal clear and topped by a thick and creamy head of white foam. The retention is good, and therefore leaves a fine lace pattern on the glass all the way down. The aroma has a definite buttery, caramel quality although there\\\'s a fair amount of hops wafting around too. Woody, a little floral and some weak tea notes are all there, but the malt dominates the nose with some grain and coffee also making an appearance. All very pleasant. It has quite a crisp mouth feel and is medium bodied.
