Key Information

Ridgeway Bitter is brewed from Maris Otter pale malt, Challenger Hops and a new hop, Boadicea, is added in the late boiling stage.

Just like the ancient warrior queen, this hop was bred for its resistance not to Romans, but to aphids.

This bitter was the first to bear the name of Ridgeway, and has since gone on to be named 'Best Bitter in the World' by Men's Journal magazine and voted one of the '50 Best Beers in the World' in the Off License News International Beer Challenge

It pours a golden colour and has a stunning fruity aroma of peaches, pineapples and passionfruit, with subtle undertones of refreshing citrus. Fruit carries through to the mouth but is countered by bitter notes derived from the hops. The bitterness stays through the finish along with the citrus notes to provide a refreshing and lingering aftertaste.
