LA PODEROSA - Reserva 2006Argentinian Red Wine
In 1952 Ernesto "Che" Guevara ventured on a magical journey through the wilderness of Patagonia on his precious Norton 500 which he nicknamed 'La Poderosa' the powerful one. The journey was immortalised by the film Motorcycle Diaries.
50 years on, Patagonia lays claim to being the southernmost wine region on earth. With the vineyards having been planted in the hot dusty tracks of this desert plain the quality of wine is now leaving its imprint on the palates of discerning wine drinkers everywhere. La Poderosa is a stunning example of the new wines from this region.
Colour: Deep purple colour.
Aroma: Fresh and intense with a full fruity aroma of strawberries and raspberries.
Palate: Full, rich and powerful on the palate with the flavour of wild black fruits and spice. Ripe tannins and a hint of oak round off the finish.
Ageing Potential: This wine will improve with further bottle ageing.
