Mirtilli is a delicate and complex melange of various plum aromatics with blue plum, hints of cinnamon, gentle notes of almond and some very attractive floral notes in the background.
A great delivery of flavour on entry; with soft, smooth flow across the palate, with a good alcoholic zest.
The rich fruit continues into a long and lingering finish.
An extremely versatile liqueur which is great served alone, 20ml with Prosecco/Sparkling White Wine, served with sorbet, drizzled over pancakes or ice cream... extremely versatile!
I first heard about this drink through a magazine article and it sounded so fantastic that I would give it a whirl. I enjoy a bitter liqueur and this does not disappoint. It is so versatile, I can enjoy it neat, with Prosecco or even trickled over ice cream - Wonderful!
