Aged Cachaca

Abelha Organic Cachaca was created from a simple idea: use the best possible all-natural ingredients and the most traditional artisan methods of production.

Abelha Cachaca Gold is aged for 3 years in small 250 litre casks made from garapeira, a Brazilian Ash. This native species of wood does not change the character of the cachaca in the same way as an imported oak barrel - instead it imparts a unique honey and spiced note to the spirit. The result is an authentic Brazilian aged cachaca, with a rich fruity palette, spicy finish and exceptional smoothness. To enjoy neat or in mixed drinks.

Abelha is also produced ethically. The company work in fair partnership with small holding farmers, teaching them organic farming and paying them a good price for their cane.

Abelha Organic Cachaça is made in the highlands of Bahia where locally grown organic sugar cane is fermented with natural yeast and distilled in small copper pots, or alambiques. This gives Abelha a characteristic aromatic nose. It is produced in an ultra traditional manner, with everything being done carefully, by hand, in a lengthy production process which results in a remarkable fullness of flavour. The mouth-feel is unctuous and creamy with an underlying fruitiness and an ethereal complexity.

Absolutely in love with the full, fruity aroma and sweet taste of this organic cachaca. Definitely the best cachaca I have ever tried. Highly recommended, yummy caipirinhas -) I am from Brazil and believe me, it's nothing like this delicious one out there, truly special.
