This Cabernet blend is another dark, rich wine in the Skillogalee tradition, with intense colour and powerful, warm aromas and flavours. The wine is full and soft with sweet, leafy fruit flavours, rich vanillin oak and firm drying tannins on a lingering finish.

Ideal with grilled or roasted red meats and game dishes.

This vintage has a backbone of natural acidity that will repay cellaring for 10 - 12 years.

The fruit comes from un-irrigated, hand-pruned and hand-picked vines grown at Skillogalee at around 450m above sea level. The wine was made in open fermenters and then basket-pressed. Malo-lactic (secondary) fermentation and maturation took place in predominantly French oak hogsheads for around 24 months, before the separate components were blended and bottled.

Grape: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec.
