STELLA BELLA - Skuttlebutt Shiraz Cabernet 2008Margaret River Red Wine
The antiquated nautical term for the source of drinking water on sea going vessels has the derived meaning of slang, gossip, chit chat, rumour etc.
The site of this life- sustaining liquid on board was also the bed from which the grapevine of social gossip did sprout. As such, the chance to catch up with friends over a glass of good wine is the perfect occasion for Skuttlebutt.
Vibrant cerise in colour with a violet hue bursting with the scents of ripe red-skinned summer fruits from the Merlot and Sangiovese components, whilst the Shiraz adds a subtle spice note.
The palate is crisp, fresh and bright with a clean dry finish. Full-flavoured with very attractive light soft raspberry fruit, overlaid with crushed cherries and piquant spice.
