Elderflower, 'London Cut', Dry Gin is the second new entrant, from Knockeen Hills Spirits, again with exceptional provenance, and uniquely using five times distilled Irish Spirit.

The natural botanicals selected, are steeped in the spirit for at least 24 hours, contributing to a very soft release on the palette, and no trace of 'after burn' normally associated with gin.

It is the only dedicated Elderflower London Dry Gin produced and was awarded the Bronze Medal at the 2010 International Wine and Spirit Competition in the 47 percent volume+ category.

The I.W.S.C. Chair's comments:-

Aroma (Neat): Definite robust spirit (47.3%) Aroma (With Water): Delicate perfume botanicals with subtle elderflower notes. Palate: Definite spirit with pronounced herbal, saline and bitter notes with an enduring delivery. Taste (Diluted): Given the strength and composition, this Gin would also be most appreciated as a cocktail base, given the subtleness of the Elderflower flavouring.

Charles Maxwell, Master Distiller, London Dry Gin, London, England.

Nose: Strong juniper overlaid with elderflower notes.

Taste: Juniper balanced by elderflower and hints of spice. Very dry palate but a delightful soft spirit.

Finish: Long, soft, dry and clean.
