Between the Moray Firth and the Hills of Cromdale, stands the City and Royal Burgh of Elgin, the home of Gordon & MacPhail. The cathedral depicted on the label was burnt down in 1390, by the feared Wolf of Badenoch - the illegitimate son of a Scottish King. There are over 30 distilleries within the vicinity of Elgin and this vatted malt is an apt tribute to the quality malts they produce.
