Zuidam - Korenwijn
Aged in Oak for 12 Months
Producer Information
Zuidam Korenwijn 1 year old is more delicate than Genever.
Although it is distilled from the same selection of Malted Barley, Rye and Corn it is more fruity because of its quadruple distillation.
The mash of these grains is distilled four times in a pot still after a week of fermentation.
This gives this Korenwijn a light and delicate base for the botanicals.
The botanicals that are used in this Korenwijn are Juniper, Liquorice root and Aniseed among several others.
The Korenwijn has been aged in small oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months.
This results in a really smooth mouth feel as well as delicate vanilla flavours from the wood.
