Laurent Perrier - Harmony Demi SecFresh And Sweet
Available 30th Sep 2018
Harmony is an intense golden yellow in colour with a steady stream of fine bubbles. The nose is rich with notes of dried fruits, almonds and hazelnuts as well as toasted aromas. With age, the nose evolves developing deeper notes of honey and pine resin. Full-bodied and generous, it is a rich wine with a rounded feel.
Harmony brings out the best of sweet and savoury dishes and pairs particularly well with desserts and pastries. Best served between 6˚C and 8˚C.
The general movement towards drier wines, together with the habit of drinking champagne as an apéritif, has popularised the consumption of brut champagnes. However, many wine-lovers still enjoy the sweetness of past pleasures provided by a demi-sec.
Harmony is a rounded and delicate demi-sec thanks to a high proportion of Chardonnay and a well-balanced dosage. The dosage blends harmoniously into the wine, bringing both freshness and sweetness to this champagne.
Harmony’s finesse is due to the predominance of Chardonnay, around 45%, which is blended with Pinot Noir (40%) and Meunier (15%). It is a blend of over 55 crus with up to 20% reserve wines to ensure a consistent House style. Its sweetness is imparted by the ‘liqueur de dosage’ (40g/L). It is aged in the cellars for a minimum of three years before being released as it reaches perfect maturity.
