Lanson - Extra Age Brut
Champagne
To revive the tradition of Lanson Champagnes of the 19th and early 20th centuries, Extra Age is a blend of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs selected only from Grands Crus and Premiers Crus vineyards. In order to maintain a style that combines both complexity and freshness, Lanson combines the outstanding characters of several vintages: 1999, 2002 and 2003.
The harmony and balance of the wine give full expression to the power of the Pinot Noirs from the finest areas of Verzenay and Bouzy.
The Chardonnays from the Cote des Blancs: Chouilly, Avize, Oger and Vertus, in all their diversity, add a touch of finesse.
To the eye, Extra Age is a vibrant straw yellow with fine bubbles.
To the nose, the aromas of fig, winter pear and honey conjure up images of pastries.
On the palate, the attack is ample, the body generous and complex and the finale the epitome of finesse and freshness.
40% Chardonnay & 60% Pinot Noir.
Crus: Chouilly, Avize, Oger, Vertus, Verzenay, Bouzy.
Lanson Extra Age will be the ideal champagne to accompany calf sweetbread with chestnut and truffles, or fried scallops served with melted butter.
