Cousino Macul - Lota 2006Complex Aromas
Drawn from old vines, some planted in 1932. the vineyard plots are feremnted separately with malolactic fermentation taking place in the barrel, then blended and raised for 18 months in new French oak.
The wine is dark red, with complex aromas of dark fruit, cherry and toasted oak.
Full bodied but approachable, there is a good balance of sweetness and acidity, ripe tannins and rich tones of strawberries, cedar and spices.
The wine has an intense, long finish and will improve even more in bottle.
Cabernet Sauvignon 75%, Merlot 25%.
