Antinori - Rosso Toscana 2009Classic Tuscan Red
Vineyard Marchese Antinori is produced exclusively from specially selected grapes grown on three of Antinori's estates in Chianti Classico: Santa Cristina, Peppoli and Badia a Passignano.
Winery After destemming and gentle crushing, the must was fermented in stainless steel vats, with very gentle extraction to maximise the purity of the fruit. Malolactic fermentation took place in one and two year old French barriques. Following the malolactic fermentation, the best lots were selected, blended and put back into the same barriques for fourteen months. The best barrels were then selected, blended, and bottled.
Taste Spicy hints of cinnamon and cloves, alongside oaky and piquant peppery aromas. A rounded, creamy, sweet and well-balanced palate is followed by an aftertaste of incense, balsamic notes and cherry.
