Key Information

Glenmorangie is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland and the amount of malt whisky produced each year is not great. Their stocks of extra aged whisky is extremely limited. The Glenmorangie distillery manager sets aside selected casks for extra ageing - individual casks which he judges to have the right characteristics to produce remarkable whisky. The warehouses are old-fashioned - low, stone built, with earth floors - and are situated adjacent to the distillery on the shores of the Dornoch Firth. The chosen casks have rested for 18 years, embraced by a gentle local climate and permeated with fresh sea air. The result is a whisky of body and distinction - the perfect after dinner dram, Glenmorangie has been made with the same care and patience for over 150 years in an unchanging environment by a small team of devoted craftsmen - The Sixteen Men of Tain.
