Jamaica's Arawak Indians are a part of the Island's colourful history and they gave the language of the island several words including Hammock and Canoe. Now, Jamaica's leading rum producer, names Koko Kanu in honour of that proud and peaceful people.

Jamaican folk songs recount the potency of rum and coconut.

This legendary combination has been subtly blended in Koko Kanu to harmonize the natural aroma and flavour of coconuts with the finest Jamaican Rum.

Enjoy Koko Kanu on its own or combined with your favourite mixer.

I bough a bottle of Koko Kanu for my dad when I first began using The Drink Shop as my source for quality alcohol. My dad loves coconut flavoured rum and so I thought I would buy him Koko Kanu and see how he likes it. Well he absolutely loved it and now doesn't drink any other flavoured rum. He used to drink Malibu a lot but he said so himself that the sticky sweetness of it rum was getting a bit unpalatable. This rum is a much smoother drink and can easily be drunk on the rocks or with a mixer. Great Flavoured Rum!

Fantastic full strength (37.5%) coconut rum, this has so much more taste and quality than Malibu, it has a crisp clean taste with no sickly after effects. It works as a shot, on the rocks, or mixed with pineapple, Midori, coke etc. I prefer it to Mahiki too.

What can I say about Koko Kanu? if I had to sum it up in one sentence I would say 'its sex in a glass' to say its like Malibu is like describing a blended whiskey to a single malt. Koko Kanu is in a different league, my only one complaint is that unfortunately very few bars stock it :( which surprise's me given that it is a superior taste. If you haven't tried please do your in for a treat.

We first had this at a Jamaican restaurant in Oxford for something different and it has become a firm favourite ever since. A clear, strong taste. I don't like Malibu but really enjoy Koko. We have introduced it to lots of ours friends who are surprised by how much they like it. Great with Pineapple juice.

Koko Kanu is just fab! Think Malibu with extra strength and flavour, best served on the rocks! We usually drink a bottle in one sitting as it's just so drinkable..
