Dominique Gallois took over this domaine from his father in 1989 and now has four hectares of vines, comprising a mix of village and premier cru sites in Gevrey Chambertin. In Burgundian terms, Gallois is still considered a relative newcomer, but among his peers he is highly respected. His debut 1990 Gevrey won top billing in a regional tasting and in 2000 he chaired the St Vincent festival committee - not for the faint hearted, as 60,000 people descend on the tiny village of Gevrey, eager to taste the special cuvees made for the celebrations.
