Domaine Nicolas Rossignol
Nicolas Rossignol was born in 1974 and is the 5th generation of winemakers in the vineyards of Volnay.
After technical training acquired at the Lycee de Beaune Wine between 1989 and 1994, he puts into practice knowledge acquired during different stages as the Domaine in Volnay Joseph Voillot or Domaine du Old Telegraph in Chateauneuf du Pape, and began the vinification Domaine Rossignol Jeanniard family.
To control other cultivation techniques and livestock, he went vinify South Africa Boschendal Estate in 1995 and Bordeaux Chateau La Cardonne governed by Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
It was not long before creating his own estate in 1997 with an area of 3 hectares spread over the common Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Corton and Aloxe Pernand Vergelesses while continuing winemaking and marketing of wines of Domaine Rossignol Family Jeanniard
In 1998, 50 additional 1Ha with applellations Jarolieres as Pommard 1er cru Volnay 1er cru and Chanlins Fremiets Santenots coming and enlarge the field.
From 2005 a new municipality enters the range Savigny-les-Beaune village and two first wines which Savigny 1er Cru Lavières and Cooking and a Beaune 1er Cru Clos du Roy.
It is also this time that the decision is taken to create a trading area to unify both commercial level, thus all wines are now marketed under the label Nicolas Rossignol.
The domain Nicolas Rossignol currently operates 25 6 ha This gives a total surface area of operations of nearly 16 ha.
The area covers several municipalities as Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses, and Aloxe Corton Savigny Les Beaune and is available in the village and 1er cru appellation in each except Aloxe Corton.
Since July 2011, the field is located 3 rue colbert 21200 Beaune to be more efficient and precise expression of terroir in their wines.
