Samalens Logo

Samalens Armagnacs originate in vineyards located exclusively in Bas Armagnac, mostly from the Grand Bas Armagnac area, on the border between the Gers and Landes regions. Close to the Atlantic Ocean and on the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains south of Bordeaux, the warmth, sun and humidity provide excellent growing conditions. The topsoil, composed of Boulbne, an alluvial sandy deposit left by the sea, adds delicacy and complexity to the Armagnacs. Altogether, there are 15,000 hectares of vineyards with ten different authorised varietals on the Armagnac Appellation.
