The Parellada grapes are grown on the vineyards located between 400 to 600 metres above sea level in the Peneds area, where this finer variety thrives, while the Xarel-lo and Macabeo are grown on the lower lying vineyards. The soils made up of sand and clay are poor and infertile, so the roots need to dig deep to find the vital nutrients they need. All the fruit is hand-harvested.
