Inspired by the extraordinary life of the 17th Century philosopher, theologian, writer, pirate, inventor and 'father of the modern wine bottle', Sir Kenelm Digby, 'Digby Fine English' is a wine of distinctively English character.

The wines are made by a modern day genius by the name of Dermot Sugrue, winemaker at Wiston Estate in Sussex. Dermot has been one of the pioneers of top quality English sparkling wines. The estate has the UK's only Coquard press (the classic Champagne press) and his passion for quality and attention to detail at every stage of the winemaking process is most impressive and is certainly evident in the quality of the Digby Fine English wines.
