Owner: Gaspard Perret Size of Estate: 5 ha, with 2 ha in Rully Awards: Silver Medal at Macon 2015. Gaspard is just 30 and took over from his father in 2009. Previously the grapes were sold to the co- operative but Gaspard decided that we wanted to commercialise the wines under the Domaine name. His wines are vinified at Genouilly by head winemaker Herve Gabon. The Lieu Dit of La Chaume is the most southerly vineyard in the appellation. Bright citrus fruits on the nose with just a hint of hazelnut. The palate is rounded with some fleshy, exotic fruit notes and a fine mineral structure. Rully: Granted its AOC in 1939, Rully produces both red and white wines. Subtle differences in the wines are due to differences in soil, exposure and altitude, all of which vary considerably hereabouts. At heights of 230-300 metres, the hill-slopes produce wines which can compete with the best wines of the nearby Cote de Beaune.
