The Garces Silva Family is a traditional family in the agricultural trade for more than three generations, led by its founder Mr. Jose Antonio Garces. This project is a meeting point for the whole family whose objective is to share with the consumer the quality of the premium wines. They are the outcome of the terroir, of a prestigious oenologist team and top generation technology. The Garces Silva Winery is located in Leyda, in the San Antonio Valley, in Chile, the southernmost country of South America, between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountain Range, 104 kilometers from Santiago and 14 kilometers from the sea. Leyda is located in a valley that lies between the Coastal Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean and runs parallel to Chile's Central Valley. Its gentle coastal hills are characterized by poor soils and very dry climate. The winery architecture is inspired by its environment, the soft rolling hills between the Coastal Mountain Range and the sea. The surroundings determine the different levels within the winery, which allow for a gentle handling of the grapes and musts. The wine therefore decants by gravity to preserve all the aromatic potential and strengthen the characteristics of our wines. The winery has a vinification capacity of 285,000 liters in stainless - steel tanks and 120,000 liters in french oak barrels. Amayna produce 15,000 cases per year. The grapes are picked entirely by hand and brought to the winery in 10-kg bins. The clusters and berries are also hand-selected for cleaner processing and greater quality control. Gravity-flow vinification reduces contamination and risk of oxidation as well.
