Beija-Flor, a name chosen instinctively when a Beija-Flor flock (Humming Birds) came to witness the first time sugar cane was squeezed in the Distillery.

Distillery São Francisco has been growing sugar cane for over 100 years and uses only hand selection methods to ensure the supreme quality of Beija-Flor.

Hand-selecting sugar cane is environmentally sensitive, and maintains the quality of sucrose, unlike the commonly used technique of burning the sugar cane field before machine harvesting.

Time is of no object as limited production Beija-Flor is rested for at least one year to ensure perfection.
