Released for the Travel Retail market in 2019, Auchentoshan Dark Oak undergoes maturation in a combination of Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and bourbon casks. This triple distilled single malt is rich with stewed fruit and warming Christmas spice notes. The aroma reveals heather honey, chocolate ice cream, and spiced fruit compote. On the palate, it offers intense raisin and dark chocolate bitterness, complemented by subtle hints of fresh barley. The aftertaste presents flavours of fruitcake, coffee bean, lemon, and a whisper of dried oak.
